Planning: App Challenge

This was the app challenge we where set the task was to, create my own version of the music video. I did not want you to try to recreate the original but to create an original of my own. The capacity to do this type of creative activity relies on me being able to use higher order thinking skills.
 There where no boundaries for me to adhere to. I could shorten the track, use clips more than once or alter them in a myriad of other ways. In order to show development, I included some video effects in my version and played with these to see what can be done. I also made sure the where exempts of some lip-syncing. 
 

In this task I was mainly focused on remembering basic editing skills like adding transitions, you can see the cross fade in use for this video at the start as this is a slower section of the video, meaning it needed slower editing. I also manipulated the original footage as in multiple sections I seduced the speed of the footage, this added to the atmosphere of the video as it started slow the sped up, which is where I stop using the transitions and went to quicker cuts. These where some basic things which I used and might need, when doing the final editing.

overall the editing wasn't that challenging and I think I have succeeded in the this task, as the video makes sense and links with the audio. despite this success I did find the lip sinking to be very tedious, but this is a crucial skill to master as it will be needed in the final editing.
