Planning: Intro

I have decided to add and extra section to the start of the music video. I want to do this because the actual song itself is very short. So I will increase the length of the video by adding an intro.

The video will now start with the artists and his friends in a studio, in preparation for a performance, in the theatre where the first section of the actual song will start. There will be some conversation between the artist and producers, talking about their journey during the making of this album, and after they will go down in to the theatre, and the lights will then go on.

This section will all be free hand camera work and will be very rough editing to make it seem unplanned, this will translate the emotion in the video better as it will seem unplanned and unrehearsed. This section of the video will also be in black and white, but with out the green effect.

Location for the first scene.

The is the room which I will use as the the studio. This room already has some of the equipment and props needed to make it like like this, meaning I will not have to hire or purchase any equipment.

Below are some of the equipment? props which are in the room which I will need to make sure I get in the shots, to ensure that the audience know that the room they are in is a studio.

Below is the light controls for the theatre.

Below are two sound controls

To keep this section looking as authentic as possible there will be no storyboard for this section. there is just a few things which I will need to make appear in this section, to ensure that the location is clearly established:

  • Lights being adjusted on light box.
  • There has to somebody adjusting the sound on the mixer
  • A shot looking down on to the stage.
